Karen Zabarsky Blashek is Editor-in-Chief of Austin Home Magazine, a Hearst publication covering the intersection of architecture, interiors, development, and culture in one of America’s fastest-evolving cities. She is also the founder of Ground Up, a creative studio for the built environment. Before returning to her native Texas, Blashek spent 13 years in New York where she led design for one of the country's largest real estate developers with projects nationwide.

Lindsey serves as Executive Director of Preservation Austin, Austin’s only citywide nonprofit for historic places. Her seven years of leadership have transformed her organization into a dynamic, inclusive force for preservation in one of America’s fastest-growing, and fastest-changing, cities.​​​

Lindsey Hanna 

Founder, Design Principal, Lindsey Hanna Design

Lindsey Hanna is the founder and principal designer of Lindsey Hanna Design, where she guides clients through remodels, construction, and the emotional complexities of selecting that perfect countertop. Her work has been featured on the AIA Homes Tour, Austin Modern Homes Tour, Luxe Magazine, Tribeza, and Austin Home Magazine. Lindsey is known for creating interiors that feel artful, thoughtful, livable, and authentic to the core.

Oren Mitzner 

Principal

Barley-Pfeiffer Architecture 

While earning his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from Tulane University, Oren Mitzner, AIA channeled his lifelong passion for craft into design/build projects for non-profit organizations through Tulane’s UrbanBUILD and Small Center for Collaborative Design. In practice, he has extensive experience in residential and missing middle development, retail, and hospitality. Oren is a Principal of Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture, served as Chair of Residential Advocacy for AIA Austin and currently Chairs Austin’s Building and Fire Code Board of Appeals.​​​
