Trends From Lightovation 2026

Lightovation 2026 (LinkedIn Article Cover Image).jpg

We got a curated tour at Lightovation this year, courtesy of TriSupply's Lighting Director, Wayne Merrill.  He toured us through the gorgeous WAC showroom, and pointed out a few trends the industry is focusing on this year.   Love something you see?  All WAC products are available through TriSupply! Contact Wayne if you have any questions on the product or technology, he's an expert!  Reach out to Karla Urbina for a tour of the showroom.

Colored Glass

Our tour guide, Wayne, points out some of the beautiful fixtures that incorporate colored glass, adding tint and tone to the light in your room.

Organic Shapes and Materials

From raffia and leather to slate shards, there were numerous examples of earthy materials.  Forms were less structured as well, celebrating  natural and asymmetrical forms.

Technology that Enhances

Not just technology for technology's sake, the new technology adds to your design.  Most WAC lighting features CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) technology, which allows fixtures to be tuned for both brightness and color temperature.

  • Photo 1: While it's hard to fully appreciate in a photo, this image shows a "framing" light, that allows a spotlight to just the art piece to be lit, rather than light spilling out beyond the edge.

  • Video 1:  We were stopped cold in front of the WAC display that features their integrated CCT Technology, allowing all the light fixtures in your house to change brightest and temperature as one.

  • Photo 2:  Some of the inner workings of the systems.

  • Photos 3-4:  Exclusive in the industry, WAC's outdoor lighting can be color-tuned on-demand, to allow you to change with the seasons or highlight certain features with different hues.
